In working on my memoir, I’ve had occasion to read through old notebooks, journals, and papers, listen to old records, and look through old photo albums. The photos especially summon vivid memories for me: listening to my brilliant Uncle Adlert’s storytelling, the sound of my mother’s beautiful singing voice, Auntie Eloise and Uncle Moonie’s majestic Park Manor home, family vacations, weddings, and smaller, quieter moments that might otherwise have been lost to time.
I hope to communicate more of what all of these people meant to me in the memoir. But until that’s ready, I thought I’d help put faces to some of the names I’ve mentioned here and on The Glenn Show. This is only a small sample of my photo albums, of course, but there are still so many I want to share with you that I’m dividing this post in two. I’ll release the next batch in the near future.
