I live in the Deep South, where it continues to be black benign neglect with systemic white racism. A black Fulton County Sheriff has asked several times for money to fix a dilapidated jail where black inmates are mostly housed. There are many needless deaths in this facility. He's also asking that inmates be housed in private facilities where they can receive better medical and mental health treatment. Special treatment by the government?
