Glenn.. I just love to read how you think. As an older white business owner, you speak my language except from a much larger platform. I was raised by parents who were both born into poverty and I would say they were anti-racist thier entire lives. This wasn't todays faux anti-racism who demands group think and loyalty to an anti-intelectual version of history. This was done by proactively by reaching out to people of all races in scool work and the community in order to understand other people and to create some foreign spice in their lives.

I think their life evolution was born of adopting the behaviors of their college professors at a small Christian college and their serious Christian faith.

I didn't see or have I since discovered a better model for success and contentment in life so it my wife and I have tried to model similar values to our children and grandchildren. Bless you Glenn.

Glenn, finished your memoir. So many lessons here for young men. You talk about a lot of your decisions being driven by a desire to remain connected to 'your roots'. Being a self proclaimed conservative, you could argue that your roots should not have steered you wrong. And indeed, your return to the faith saved your life, another one of your 'roots'. It seems to me, you have a lot of wisdom for young men, who are growing up with harmful role models, in need of guidance, much as you did throughout your life. I would love to see this wisdom distilled into a tome aimed at these young men.
