Blacks, Jews, and Bias

Earlier this month, I appeared on the podcast Straight Ahead, hosted by Aryeh Tepper and Greg Thomas. You may remember Greg from his TGS appearance about a year ago, when he, John McWhorter, and I debated the prospect of “deracialization.” This appearance continues that debate. In the episode, we discuss transracial humanism, essentialism, the bias and development narratives, and the Jewish-American success story. This clip presents a few of my favorite segments of the conversation, but I highly recommend that everyone watch the whole thing—it’s a real debate, and it’s a lot of fun. A really good and heartfelt and civil discussion. In the end mortals can only know and do a limited amount over a brief time. Our works are dust and will all crumble in a few thousand years. So what is life and conscious existence, but a dream spoken by an idiot signifying nothing. At least Glenn gives rationality and truth a voice.
