The Manhattan Institute (MI) is a community of scholars, journalists, activists, and civic leaders who are united by a shared commitment to advancing economic opportunity, individual liberty, and the rule of law in America and its great cities. MI is independent, creative, and bold, and we are hiring a like-minded Economic Policy Analyst to work closely with renowned economist and MI Senior Fellow Roland Fryer.
Professor Fryer’s work at MI is focused on popularizing the policy-related findings of his academic research. Through written commentary, speaking engagements, media appearances, and policy research, Fryer is committed to sharing empirically-grounded ideas for improving education, public safety, economic opportunity, and social mobility in the United States. The Economic Policy Analyst will work with Fryer on opinion pieces, remarks, and policy briefs. In addition to supporting Fryer’s writing projects for MI, the Policy Analyst will – as time permits – have opportunities to work with other MI fellows and to pursue his or her own writing projects.
