I am starting to lose patience with this circle jerk. So much focus on the right end tail of the distributions and the elite jobs in the elite Universities and Companies and Government.
It's just the same old talk, talk, talk while the shootings and murders and robberies and rapes and out of wedlock births and high abortion rates continue in the ghettos of Chicago, NY, Baltimore, DC, LA, St. Louis, Detroit............. The only one doing concrete work other than talking (or writing books) is Bob Woodson and his Foundation.
At the same time there is a concerted effort by a bunch of Post Modern Critical Theory facists to destroy our Country and turn it into another shithole. They use race, climate, trans, gender, religion, anything they can co-opt to divide and conquer us. And then you have China trying (and largely succeeding so far) to fuck us over big time.
As much as I feel for the marginalized folk in the ghettos and want to see them move on up, they're a pimple on the elephants ass in today's struggle with the forces trying to destroy us.
Go ahead and focus like a laser on race and the right hand tail of the IQ distribution and all the disparities etc. etc. etc. They're coming for us on multiple other fronts and we'd better be ready.
I agree with you, Mark Silbert. But, this is no circle jerk at The Glenn Show. Haven't you noticed? I am constantly calling attention to the realities of the 21st century and their ominous implications for the future of my country (and for the fate of "my people.") I have worked hand-in-glove with Woodson for decades. I constantly inveigh against the CRT/BLM-line on violence and disorder in the ghettos. Clarity of thought is an indispensable prerequisite for meaningful and effective action. As a thinker, I believe that I'm doing my part. GL

I'm just really frustrated by all the tippy toeing around avoiding criticism of the current administrations performance regarding Teacher Unions, charter schools, antisemitic comments by the squad and others, police reform, fomenting divisiveness racially, idiotic initiatives re. climate, kowtowing to China on Covid origins, politically driven Covid policies........................

McWhorter though really gets under my skin sometimes when he blames everything on Republicans or just anyone that's not a Democrat/progressive. He's a big part of The Glenn show so I wrote my critique here. I've submitted several questions to the Q&A to try to prompt some discussion on this between you and John but y'all haven't chosen to tackle the subject. This is a big part of why I say I am losing patience and talked about a circle jerk. My sense is that it's a sensitive topic that the two of you don't want to get into on the show. From my point of view this is a glaring shortcoming in your discussions. I sense that you are not on the same page as John on many of these things and would like to hear it discussed.
We need political leaders of all stripes that are willing to stand up to these Post Modern Critical Theory facists that are trying to destroy our country. Ignoring the fact that the current administration is pretty much lock step with them is not productive.
