I took the jab. Every COVID death I knew personally was unvaccinated. Obviously, that is not a scientific basis for taking the vaccine. The science behind the vaccine seemed reasonable. They stopped the J&J vaccine when clotting problems occurred. I masked up. I realized that most people were not going to stick to a rigid regimen of masking.

I think overall, the United States fared worse compared to other so-called advanced countries when it came to COVID deaths. On the other hand, communities with high vaccination rates in the United States had fewer deaths.
