On the Next TGS Live: The Glenn Show Family
Tomorrow, Friday, May 8 at 11:00 A.M. EDT
My next livestream—tomorrow, Friday, May 8 at 11:00 A.M. EDT (note the earlier time)—is going to be a slight departure from recent shows. In the first half, I’ll play a pre-recorded conversation with my son, Glenn Loury II. It’s an intimate discussion that touches on matters close to both of our hearts: literature, partnership, brotherhood, and the late Linda Datcher Loury, Glenn’s mother. Linda’s death was one of the pivotal moments in both of our lives. We both struggled with it. In some ways, we’re still struggling. But we’ve tried to be there for each other. That hasn’t always been easy, and some of the rawness comes through in this conversation.
In the second half of the show, we’ll keep the family theme going with a live conversation between me and my wife, the lovely LaJuan Loury, and TGS contributor Robert Patton-Spruill and his wife, Patti Moreno. Rob and Patti are partners in all things: life, business, and art. We’ll kick off this conversation with their latest of many projects, a music video for their song “Emptiness Reigns.” Regular TGS viewers may recall that Rob first entered the show’s orbit when he called in to defend landlords and ended up in debate with LaJuan. While we’re all good friends, we have some fairly sharp political differences between us—let’s see what comes to the surface!
So tune in tomorrow, Friday, May 8 at 11:00 A.M. EDT and join the family fun. Of course, only full subscribers can watch the stream.
