Good, solid conversation. Not a vast gulf between them.

I have to disagree. The fundamental difference between them is if we are going to live in a society of equal opportunity and fairness for all; or in a society that discriminates and provides preferential treatment based on color. That's a big gulf to cross.

Perhaps it is a matter of interpretation. As far as I could tell, neither of them believed in a purely color blind solution in the short run.

They butted heads about how to get to where they both want to go, short-term and long-term. When Randall said he would happily concede race-based affirmative action for guaranteed quality K through 12 education, that was not light years away from Glenn.
