As far as surveillance here, I think we need legislation now (and maybe a constitutional amendment) prohibiting government use of facial recognition technology. I would also ban the use of license plate readers and other forms of mass citizen tracking by government.
Importantly, I would also ban the government buying that data from private companies, to get around this prohibition.
