TGS Live: A Conversation with John McWhorter + Live Q&A
TOMORROW, Friday, October 31, 2025 at 1:00 PM EDT
Before you head out into the night for your Halloween parties, tricks, or treats, join me tomorrow for my weekly livestream. I’ll have the one and only John McWhorter with me for the full two hours. In the first half of the show, we’ll have one of our regular conversations, and for the second half we’ll be answering questions submitted by full subscribers for an on-air version of our monthly Q&A session. We may even have a few of the question-askers drop in to join the conversation. We’ll be working without a net—no edits or take-twos—so I’m not sure what exactly will happen. But I know it’s going to be fun! That’s tomorrow, Friday, October 31 at 1:00 PM EDT.
In the first half of the show, we’ll be debating whether Trump is defining our political era, whether “the end of race politics” (to borrow Coleman Hughes’s phrase) means “the end of race,” former Biden press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre’s disastrous book promo tour, and my recent visit to San Antonio to celebrate the 50th anniversary of my friend Ernesto Cortes’s Communities Organized for Public Service operation. In the Q&A, we’ll address questions about Adolph Reed’s critique of race reductionism and disparitarian justice, AI and labor, the place of black conservatives in public institutions, college admissions standards, Christopher Caldwell’s idea of the Civil Rights Act as a “second constitution,” and more.
You can tune in tomorrow, October 31 at 1:00 PM EDT on Substack, YouTube, StreamYard, or my X page:
The stream is free to all. You don’t have to be a full subscriber to watch or call in. But you do have to be a member for access to full video of the stream after it’s over. The Glenn Show is almost entirely viewer supported, so to those of us who are already full subscribers, let me extend a heartfelt thank you. And if you’re not yet a full subscriber, please consider becoming one. The Glenn Show can only do what it does through the generosity of viewers and listeners. For a mere $6/month or $50/year, you’ll get weekly episodes of The Glenn Show earlier than their public release, monthly Q&A episodes with John McWhorter, access to the full Substack archives, and other exclusive bonus content.

The YouTube link is to an old show, and there appears to be no link to a recording of the Oct. 31 conversation of Glenn and John.
I cannot wait for this. I will be eating my lunch and viewing my two favorite professors educate and entertain their fans and haters!!!
