Several years ago, a co-worker who knew I was Muslim would tease me and joke about Islam. He had a good sense of humor, without being disrespectful. Another co-worker teased me about having a sex-change after HR corrected a mistake in my file. He made me laugh. Both male and born before 1965. Another co-worker (female) who was retiring- I asked her, “You are single - do you want to get married?” Her: “Are you going to be loyal?” Then we both exploded in laughter. That is the result of comraderie and bonding. At work whenever there was any Equity discussion- complete silence from everyone every single time. No way is that healthy.
