That's definitely f'ed up, but it had nothing to do with Obama's performance as president.

Obama is history and blacks are worst off. Obama is still laughing all the way to the bank, one billion dollars richer. Black violence and illegitimate births are continuing on steroids. How many children do you have out-of-wedlock before we advance our discussion?

I don't have any kids but simply asking such a question, which has nothing to do with the question at hand, doesn't bode well for any sort of discussion you wish to advance.

LGBTQ and illegal migrants at the head of the line isn't progress for black folks. These are horizontal issues. Vertical is improved black group economics and self-empowerment.

Actually Obama DID put us at the head of the line with the ACA but because it wasn't reparations and because we don't consider healthcare a political priority, we couldn't see it and still don't to this day (unlike Republicans, which is how they were able to campaign on the issue for the 2010 midterms and make historic, unprecedented gains in Congress and statehouse all across the country). As far as the LGBT community goes, there are plenty of Black LGBT folks in America but besides that, neither the repeal of DADT or the Obgerfell v Hodges SCOTUS decision harmed Black folks one bit in any way.

And it's a bit funny you believe the president who was nicknamed the Deporter-in-Chief put illegal immigrants "at the head of the line" lol.

Aside from that, here's a question I ask of Black folks who claim Obama did something for everybody else but us but for which I have never gotten an actual serious response: besides the pipe dream (at that time at least) of reparations, what, realistically, did you want Obama to do explicitly and exclusively for us that was in his purview?

When Obama took office, I was successfully retired at the age of 56. I worked hard and carefully planned for my retirement and medical benefits til death. I didn't need Obamacare or food stamps to survive.

I'm not a Democrat or Republican. I vote for my interests. Under Obama, I invested in biotech. Under Trump, I invested in financials and funeral services. Under Biden, I invested in defense stocks.

Giving reparations in the form of cash payments to people, in which many are financially illiterate, isn't wise. It wouldn't bounce around several times with black folks before it leaves.

Instead of wasting time with Reverand Sharpton in and out of the Whitehouse, Obama should have spent more time with black business leaders developing a plan to improve black economics and self-empowerment.

The black wealth group of 2% in this country hasn't changed since the eve of the American Civil War, wherein there were 4 million black slaves and 400 thousand quasi-free blacks. Blacks are losing the race.

In other words, you wanted better optics and symbolic gestures.
