Lost Cause revisionist nonsense. Slavery in the United States was based on a white superiority ideal that still reverberates today. Chattel slavery was essentially a European creation when considered on a worldwide basis. From an economic standpoint a castrated enslaved Black male would have less monetary value because he could not reproduce free labor. The enslaved would not have to pay an external source for a laborer.

Was the Zanj uprising the "Lost Cause" you had in mind here? Or is that just an uncontrollable tic of yours you have to give out just to get rev'd up? I notice you use the term almost every time. As to those castrated boys, that was often done on the way to the slave markets. A large percentage of the boys to whom it was done died. Yet the eunuchs who survived were still valuable enough to make the trade worth it to someone. I guess "monetary value" was in the eye of the beholder.

You need to come out of that safe white bubble of naivete. Have you ever watched the old movie "Watermelon Man", starring Godfrey Cambridge? It tells the story of an extremely bigoted 1960s era of a white insurance salesman named Jeff Gerber, who wakes up one morning to find that he has become black. He learned some good life lessons and conclusions. It's very hilarious. 👍😂☺️

The Lost Cause is appropriate because Conservatives attempt to divert from the horrors of chattel slavery here in the United States. Your diversion probably works in the Conservative Uni-Mind but fails when introduced to the general public.

You can attempt to distract to slavery in Iraq, I’ll point out the conditions of the enslaved people on Robert E Lee’s plantation. The reason that Conservatives fight so hard to divert attention from the United States is because they are ashamed of United States history. The history of slavery in Iraq does not sanitize chattel slavery in the United States.

Please keep posting. We hold Saturday classes for youth teaching math, history, science, etc. Your attempt at diversion will amuse them. BTW, we use things like the film “Warrior King” to teach them about Dahomey selling slaves to whites, so it is not a topic we fear. The older children are exposed to Clothilda by Zora Neal Hurston.

Thanks for providing material for our classroom on how whites are so afraid of teaching United States history that they try to soften things by “Whataabout the Africans”. Predictable.
