Two self hating black guys hosting a self hating Jewish guy makes all the sense in the world, no?
Well played. I thought the interview was well done. I didn’t know much about Finkelstein prior to this and now I know more. He made some points I agreed with and some I didn’t and some I need to think on more.
I thought Glenn gave him appropriate space to make his points and I appreciate that Glenn doesn’t think his audience is too stupid to develop their own thoughts. I feel badly for those who seem to be asking how to think.
I don't go for the "self-hating" label even if you're using it in jest. In the case of Finkelstein, I think "self serving" is a better moniker, as he obviously relishes publicity and portraying himself as the brave maverick under constant attack by the establishment bogeymen -- the next Noam Chomsky. Really good looking guy, too, and that goes with the territory, because attracting the babes on campus is so often part of the appeal. Knowing how common is attention-seeking in the dog-eat-dog world of elite academia, I might be even be tempted to call it an industry!
Be prepared to find that the most important observations are those that Glenn had to set aside for future consideration. Great comment on "Glenn doesn't think his audience is goo stupid."

Keep it up.

Yeah, I don’t either but this is the current state of discourse. Anyone who rejects the current groupthink can only be explained by self hatred.
