Yeah, I don't get that, either. I'm also tired of everyone who feels they have to say, "I don't support Trump, no, no, not at all, I think he's awful. However..." I mean, holy cow, just speak your mind. If you feel the need to go through the disclaimer, you need a new circle of friends, coworkers, or whatever. Maybe a spine.
I think very little of Chesa Boudin, but if he had a good idea, I wouldn't hesitate to agree with him. Maybe I'd say, "Chesa Boudin, of all people, said that..." But I wouldn't feel the need to go through an exaggerated confessional to cleanse myself before saying he had a good idea.
