I’m not sure what “II” thinks the conservatives did to u….Something about that line and the “shunted” comment isn’t clear to me and makes what appears to be a somewhat effected point. Can someone help me see what I may be missing on this count.
I listened to part of the conversation and just now watched it. Listeners need to watch this to see Glenn II's face when he speaks to his dad. Missing that, one misses the warmth between father and son and the gentleness evident with both. A beautiful conversation.
Thanks for sharing this chat with your son… he seems like a fine young man.
This video was especially poignant… because… I JUST finished your book (Late Admissions) this afternoon.
And as someone who has only read and listened to the Professor… your book and this chat shines a whole new light on Glenn Loury the man… and the Professor… warts and all.
It's clear that "II" inherited his father's thoughtful, measured diction. This was one of the most literate conversations it's been my privilege to witness.

I’m glad you did a second piece about this…. I look forward to a discussion about the book and your process, if you do one, with John McWhorter

Kudos, sir.

Thank you both for sharing this conversation.
A serious, civil, and loving chat. Respect.
