Glenn Loury's and John McWhorter's mostly white admirers and supporters aren't going to change. Their conservative minds are already made up. Many are just threading water day to day in the grind.
One thing gained from being here is to get a glimpse into the Conservative mindset. There is no reason to expect them to change behavior or beliefs, just as we do not accept their assessment of solutions.
Whenever Conservatives whine, you have to ask why. The 1619 Project attempted to shift the Lost Cause focus that has been present for several year. 1619 proposed a larger role of slavery in the Revolutionary War. Conservatives whenever crazy. Black families supplemented the nonsensical Lost Cause history their children received in public schools. Black families would correct errors in the 1619 Project. Conservatives are masters at distraction. As, I pointed out many times, they complain about 1619, but allow Prager University. They want you to reject Hannah-Joes but accept indoctrination by Prager. We cannot let Conservatives to live rent free in our brains. It does not matter what Conservatives think about 1619.
Racism will be here until the end of the days. It's time for blacks to get into the race or become a permanent underclass of criminals and beggars. Asians and Hispanics aren't fucking around to replace blacks. Coalitions? Lol!!!!
Black folks as a group need to get wiser instead of regressing. Everyone can't be saved. Personal responsibility enhances the survival of the herd. Nature tends to thin the weak from the herd---life!
I made money under Clinton and Obama too. Obama lied about me keeping my same doctor. Plus, I'm paying a hefty penalty to Medicare to support Obamacare. Obama and Michelle rode to billionaire status riding yachts. Their spoiled girls are chasing rich white boys. Chicago? Lol!
The Black female in the picture was Emily Perez a West Point graduate in 2005. She died in Iraq in 2006. She was the first African American female to die in that war.
I realize that. There are pictures that stick in your brain. I member the picture of her in her West Point glory. It says with me.
Like you, I tire of Conservatives lecturing on us on morality, etc. I watch as they boost the chances that a convicted sex offender and obvious conman could get back into office. I then read about the clown car in the Republican House. They “elected” a man who spoke at white supremacist events as Speaker yesterday, only to have him drop out of the run for Speaker today. I repeat, these are not serious people. They quote lofty ideals from books, but never actually live up to the rules they want to impose on everyone else.
Have children read the 1619 Project and work to fire any principal who allows Prager University videos to be played in the school building. We can supplement 1619 with the criticism of Nell Irvin Painter. Prager University cannot be redeemed.
Nell Irvin Painter, a professor emeritus of history at Princeton who was asked to sign the letter, had objected to the 1619 Project’s portrayal of the arrival of African laborers in 1619 as slaves. The 1619 Project was not history “as I would write it,” Painter told me. But she still declined to sign the Wilentz letter.
“I felt that if I signed on to that, I would be signing on to the white guy's attack of something that has given a lot of black journalists and writers a chance to speak up in a really big way. So I support the 1619 Project as kind of a cultural event,” Painter said. “For Sean and his colleagues, true history is how they would write it. And I feel like he was asking me to choose sides, and my side is 1619's side, not his side, in a world in which there are only those two sides.”
Some historians wanted to destroy the entire project and Painter was not onboard with that perspective.
We are at war. Conservatives are only happy with docile Negroes. If you do not agree with a very narrow point of view, you are dismissed. We need both Nikole Hannah-Jones and Nell Irvin Painter. Both have our interests at heart. Conservatives, as they currently exist, do not want us to exist.
The objection to the 1619 Project is not about the facts. Conservatives object to completely rejecting elements of the Lost Cause from how American history is taught.
I'm not a conservative or Trump supporter but I was rational enough to invest and make money while he was president. I donated some of the profit to a black charity. Lol!!!!
The 1619 project has nothing to do with my late mother-in-law and father-in-law, a former electrician and maid, born in the South during Jim Crow, to wisely invest in property and pass on 2 million dollars to their kids. My wife gave her share to my 2 stepdaughters who are college graduates with good careers. They in turn reinvested their inheritance. My wife's dad went back to school and earned a GED and then to trade school. Black wealth accumulation is the bottom line to fight racism. 1619 project? Lol!!!!
No exceptions to the rule of law. If it's no affirmative action for college or for jobs, then ditto for West Point. America needs to get with the program of re-establishing civilian control over the military, which includes the intelligence agencies and the military-industrial complex, like Boeing Corporation.

I follow a road less traveled, not MSM.
I don’t fully trust MSM either
I bought some badass firearms too. Lol!!!!🤣🤣🤣
Given the red meat being served Conservatives, it is a wise move.
CRITICAL THINKING?
The objection to the 1619 Project is not about the facts. Conservatives object to completely rejecting elements of the Lost Cause from how American history is taught.

Obama vs Trump
For the first three plus years since Trump’s inauguration the S&P 500 has risen 30% while under Obama it increased 70%.

The 1619 Project was designed to re-think perspectives on history. Your family made wise investments.
