This is staged to support a convoluted conservative narrative. Lol!!!!

Hey, I just googled Tema Oku (whose work Lee said the DEI group's behavior-thinking was based on) and this came up first : https://www.thc.texas.gov/public/upload/preserve/museums/files/White_Supremacy_Culture.pdf. This is so interesting: I agree with a LOT of what's written here and at the same time totally get how it has been misused. This happens all the time!! Maybe check it out : ) to prevent more binary perspectives-thinking.

Off topic question, but only kind of...

Can Glenn get Carol Swain back on here to talk about Harvard's crazy decision to retain Claudine Gay?

Thanks for letting us know what white supremacy is! Had never heard the point about "not looking at the written word": that's hugely relevant for me, and even "setting agendas"; these comments are revelatory in what's happening in my community org. context. This conversation doesn't seem finished -- can we hear the whole thing if there's more? And yes would love to hear follow-up on what Tabia Lee is doing now and in future.

Not sure I know what whitesplaining is; I wish I was as ignorant of wokesplaining.

Please have her on again to check in how and what she is doing and what she sees. Would be interesting to get her Ivy League president kerfuffle take.

So sad that this bright and thoughtful woman was treated so badly.

Please post the list that the National Museum of African American History and Culture want you to know what else constitutes "whiteness", white supremacy, racism.

Individualism, hard work, objectivity, nuclear family, progress, respect for authority, delayed gratification, etc.

Showing up on time, is only one of their peeves.

After 60 years, is as good as it gets?

Who would have thought George Floyd and Stepin' Fetchit would be heros of the revolution. We're fu@ked.

I don’t think the people who ascribe to the type of woke culture do not understand who our economic competitors are. They seem to think it is white culture vs other US culture. It is not. It is US culture vs Chinese or Indian culture and if we do not run our businesses and education efficiently and creatively we will lose. The Chinese, Japanese, Indian, European cultures have agendas, timelines and expect people not only to be on time but have their tasks completed on time. This kind of thing is economic suicide

I previously commented about the postcast, which was very positive. After reading some of the text now I do have a question. Who are these people who work at the community college that treated this women so poorly?. That’s what confused me. Are they clerical staff? Like what kind of jobs do they have where they can openly slam this woman? What kind of work environment tolerates these people? I hope someone can shed light on this because I found it very odd.

I feel you. Glenn, it is amazing what we have to explain and defend nowadays. But, yes. Black people can arrive on time. And as a ginger, I have to insist that if one my fellow gingers becomes a stepchild, we are just as lovable and worthy of decent treatment as stepchildren of other hair colors.

The notion that organization and rational thought are "white" characteristics, and that suggesting that people act in accordance with them is a manifestation of white supremacy, is a thing.

But in this case, might the person originating the complaints against Dr. Lee be using these ideas as weapons for a personal vendetta against Dr. Lee for getting a job they wanted?

Thank you, Dr. Loury, for introducing us to Dr. Tabia Lee. Her approach to solving difficult issues of human relations in the educational setting is one I hope will become mainstream in all disciplines and endeavors. Any company, university, or other organization, would be truly lucky to have her on board. Her guidance will no doubt shepherd our institutions to a place of better understanding and respect, especially in challenging circumstances. She gives me hope. I thank her, and wish her the very best in her profession and beyond.

I'm so glad I'm self-employed with a small farm. I retired from the USN and would not make it in the current environment. I'm sorry to see people like Dr. Lee have to navigate corridors of morons.
