Bloomberg was not my favorite but he certainly lived in New York and literally put his money where his mouth is. Guliani certainly cared and he was hated for it. I live in SF, where Mayor Breed has coerced a number of apartment building owners into selling to Mosser Redevelopment in order to house new Section-8 HUD tenants. The existing tenants get driven out of their homes because of (a): Many of the newcomers seem to be the worst of the worst. OR (b): Mosser management harasses the rent-controlled tenants into leaving because they get more $ for Section 8. Many apartment buildings in the greater central city area of SF have “Mosser” signs. On the next block over is 900-990 Geary St. Four of the seven apartment buildings have become “Mosser”.

I like Adams' politics considerably more than I like his conduct; I'm afraid if he's ousted we'll get a weird progressive instead (Jumaane) and really bad policies tied to that.
