I’m one of those people who gets a little down during the holidays. Maybe it’s the end of the year marking the passage of time, or maybe it’s the short days and lack of sunlight. I often find myself in a state of existential despair in the stretch from Thanksgiving to New Year’s Day, while others around me are joyful. But it’s a seasonal thing, and seasons change.

Perhaps I’m feeling hemmed in.
