Gentlemen: Thank you. ❤️First of all, John is correct, that was an aria. Extemporaneous and so deeply enlightening, for all humankind. Second of all, re: “acting white.” This dynamic exists here in my rural school of 544 kiddos ranging from Kindergarten through 12th. The pressure to conform to group banality rather than distinguish oneself intellectually. I also experienced this when I was a school pupil in the UK. We were all White and Anglo and yet you wanted to be careful loving Shakespeare too much too publicly.

Third of all: Glenn, can you have a chat with Jordan Peterson? I don’t care what it about.

Two comments. First, I have not read Dr. Murray’s book, but, what is his basis for determining the genetic makeup of the test takers? I suspect it is self reported. If so, it is a wild card, which would seem to invalidate the whole premise. For example, Barack Obama and Frederick Douglass would likely self report as black but could just as truthfully self report as white. There are tens of millions of Americans whose genetic makeup does not fit an easy “race” category. And, what is the black “race” genetically? Some neighboring African tribes are genetically more different from each other than they are from Europeans or Asians. The continents of Asia and Africa are each larger than the continent of North America, with incredibly diverse populations —and to lump them together into one “race” seems to be unscientific at best. Point two: Dr McWhorter implies the entertainment and professional sports industries require less brainpower than, say, astrophysics. But those industries are arguably the most highly competitive in the world, and success requires not just talent ( which, by the way includes brainpower) but intelligence and drive—including managerial and social skills—It could be argued that to be successful in those industries requires more brain power than a high end science profession, whose professionals arguably need only brilliant cognitive ability, but no other type of brain power. And, interestingly those industries generally do not have affirmative action programs.

How do Africans score versus black Americans? I apologize if I should go research this ( and I will at some point but it’s out of my area) I just someone might know.
