A very great discussion with Sylvia Bennet-Stone and Robert Woodson Jr. This is the kind of work that should be supported by individuals, communities and even the government! This bears good fruit, unlike the protests of groups like BLM and Antifa on the Left and Proud Boys and QAnon on the Right which have nothing to show.

A great speech about the reality that Blacks hold their future in their hands. Most notable remark to me was: "Freedom is a necessary but not sufficient condition for equality."

A more convincing example of the Dennis Prager scenario: "You break down on the side of the road at midnight. You have a choice between two men to stop and help you. You know nothing about either of them except that one is a practicing Christian, and one is not. Which one would you choose?"

Incredible interview with Robert Woodson & Sylvia Bennett-Stone. I am so grateful for the Glenn Show and its promotion of these outstanding individuals that are giving back so much. I look forward to being a new monthly donor to The Woodson Center and to the Black Mothers (VBMU).

Their work reminded me of the community driven efforts to reduce violence while giving purpose to young men in struggling cities as described by Jamil Jivani in his book, Why Young Men. He would be a great guest to have on the show as well.

There is also a link to an excellent essay by Gerald Early that covers the conference that I would strongly recommend.

Here are two examples of why Dr. Loury is a great American. The...how can one describe it?... tenderness... with which he converses with Sylvia Bennett Stone, and the simple queries he makes regarding the Black Mothers United, never "leading the witness", only to find her and Dr. Woodson confirming a direction --possibly the only one -- that can heal the nation's wounds, is a precious jewel. These three are giants. I stand in awe of the clarity of thought and purpose of these soldiers of peace.

Dr. Glenn's speech in accepting the Bradley prize is a masterpiece. I so wish that others of my liberal bent-- others whom I value-- would watch this speech and not question their comfortable, unchallenged, life-long beliefs, as the offerings of Dr. Loury continue to do for me.

Beautifully said, and I couldn't agree more. Thank you.

I couldn’t agree more about faith and healing. That’s why I came to Ireland, and specifically asked my study abroad group to do Dublin on June 16 despite the fact we weren’t supposed to be there until the 19th. If they don’t give it to you, then you simply have to take it. It’s cool if the Bible is Ulysses right? Happy Bloomsday everyone, I feel like I’m on the Hajj.

Introibo ad Altare Dei!

I envy your literary pilgrimage, Maci. The land of Swift, Sterne, Yeats, Joyce, Beckett, and Flann O'Brien is indeed a holy place for those with ears to hear.

On the timeline, there is a typo regarding the Bradley Prize date...shouldn't that be 2022 instead of 2002?
