Glenn is one of the most important voices in our country. He is courageous to confront the popular view given the social penalties for doing so. I admire his intellect and his willingness to engage in debate. I admire his generosity of spirit.

Excellent. I love your demeanor, comportment, whatever the word is. To me it says, "I'm here for a serious discussion. Are you?"

The question about perception leading to unequal treatment was interesting. I kept thinking of mathematical limits (as x approaches infinity...), or signal attenuation, or a tennis ball dropped on the pavement. As time passes, perception and reality seem to come closer and closer. If someone claims the natural resting spot for the tennis ball is two feet above the pavement, the burden of proof is on them.

"That would not be my campaign speech." I wish more people could be so matter-of-factly honest about the politics-reality divide.

Anyway, I really enjoyed it. This would make a great "Introduction to Glenn Loury" for the uninitiated.
