Love you both, but I gotta say I was disappointed with your take on Jussie. Nothing either of you said was askew, but it was basically your run-of-the-mill guffawing over the idiocy of Jussie's yearning for woke fame, and the media who sucked it up. That take is low hanging fruit.

I was waiting to hear you two flesh out the political drama that just happened to coincide a little too suspiciously with Jussie's prank. I refer to Kamala Harris' and Cory Booker's legislation to stop lynching. Makes you wonder who else was on Jussie's cellphone that prompted his reluctance to turn it over to the cops.

I had never heard of Jussie Smollet before this incident, but there are a number of actors who I would not recognize, so I didn't rush to call BS on this story immediately. However, the implausibility of the tale just kept becoming more noticeable. The likelihood that two white guys in MAGA hats were roaming the streets of Chicago late at night on a VERY COLD night seems quite small. The chance that two MAGA enthusiasts recognized Smollet and just happened to have bleach AND a noose with them AND made a decision to confront him was too much to believe.

Smollet may have been an OK actor, but he definitely needed better writers.
