I'll be more at peace when this cruise ship that I'm on finishes its sail on the Red Sea (merchant ships being targeted with rockets/drones by Muslim extremists) and in the Gulf of Aden above Somalia (high pirate threat). Because of the Hamas-Israeli conflict, we tried to cancel this trip to the Middle East. However, NCL refused to refund our prepaid fare or replace it with a future cruise. The passenger capacity on this ship is 2,600. However, there are currently about 1,500 passengers on this ship, I guess the 1,100 didn’t want to take the risk and forfeited their full fares. 😀

Another litany of excuses for barbaric uncivilized behaviors.

Interesting how when one hears of advancements in medicine, science, agriculture, engineering, energy, telecommunications, finance, and labor saving devices, one thinks of one group.

And when one hears of carjackings, drive by shootings, looting, low test scores, administrative incompetence, and the inability to compete in a modern society without massive intervention, one thinks of another.

Fair winds Monty, enjoy all the blessings the white man has provided and shared with you.

IMO, most of today's problems stem from fundamental failures/miscalculations of the Civil Rights Movement - i.e., that advancing civil rights and liberties of African Americans would de facto create an economic base. Something Booker T. Washington understood wouldn't work in the 19th century.

The most meaningful critique of the Democrat Party is that it's an exhausted and failed apparatus born of the Civil Rights Era. Infantilization is what you get with endless activism and no real economic power. Just endless whining and crying.

But most crying babies are trying to communicate a real need, they just lack the language to express themselves. Similarly: the monopoly of the CRM has so restricted the flow of information and ideas, that most "activists" lack the language to articulate complex problems beyond a framework of law, rights, liberties, etc.

I'm not trivializing the achievements of the 50's and 60's. But let's not beat around the bush: attacking the Democrat Party is a veiled attack on the Civil Rights Movement, which very few in polite society will seriously discuss.

“Multiracially white” so does that mean Elvis is invited to the cookout as an authentic expression of culture? The cheetah print bed at Graceland is a holy relic for my people.

Arrogance and Condescension stem from pride, which dems have too much of. I like the fact that Erec is libertarian-ish (as I do not know his official status). I believe the ideal human would be part conservative, liberal and Objectivist/Libertarian. What percentage of each category is up for debate. Please, fellow Republicans - observe the state of corruption among Democrats. Such could also become our fate if we give in to extremism in the opposite direction.

It's not just a Black thing. Are Palestinians helpless victims of circumstance, or are they autonomous and capable of managing their own country? Is it "I am woman , hear me roar", or alternatively, "I am woman, hold the door"? And don't even get me start on the LGBTQ etc. double mindedness!

Part of it is the tecnology. TV favors hyper-dramatized and oversimplified conflict, facilitating movement across the diagonal of the screen. Think, car chases and NFL football. Jerry Mander wrote a book about this ages ago, "4 arguments for the elimination of television". Maybe it's too bad it didn't happen....

I've said for years that if anyone treated me like progressives treat blacks, I'd kick them where it hurts most. The condescending, superiority attitude of many progressives is disgusting.

The republicans disqualify themselves with both the black and white workers by there attempts to cut social security and health care for the poor. This is simply a nonstarter. The conversation is over on all the other issues because this is something that is life and death for grandma.

I think it really interesting that when you all come for black voters you never ask why. For me it healthcare. The Republican Party does not offer any alternative. It also interesting you never come for white evangelicals who vote at a larger rate. I wonder why. I am sticking with Democratic Party.

The majority of black voters like it that way.

Good luck.
