A few decades ago, Glenn Loury became my initial point of focus in my endeavor to try and understand the African-American mentality. I locked on to Glenn because he was obviously brilliant and 'somewhat' conservative. I watched him vacillate; flounder; fail; rise; fail again; and finallly take a seat on the fence. Some of us have experience of "the night that covers me; Black as the pitt from pole to pole". Likeable and loveable Glenn Loury discloses from his book what he does not know about real life.

Matt McCusker is a feather-weight and Cornell West a light-weight. The Gods that may be have blessed Glenn and John McWhorter with intelligence. I invite them to go and live in central Africa for a few years and experience reality".
