Listen now (70 min) | 2022 was full of big changes for The Glenn Show. Among other developments, I partnered with the Manhattan Institute and hired two full-time employees, Nikita Petrov and Mark Sussman; we began experimenting with the format and recording more in-person conversations; we took The Glenn Show out into the real world with
If anyone is suffering from withdrawal, there's a new 3500-word article by Dr. Loury at City Journal that might help you make it to Monday. "Affirmative Distraction."
You should have Derrick Wilburn on your show to talk about the work his group is doing in black communities in Colorado: http://rmblackconservatives.com
When I first started visiting Montana 25 or 30 years ago you rarely saw a black person. Now you do, all over the mountain west. In Montana I think it was the military that made the difference. Men, usually, were sent out to bases in small cities and liked what they saw. Great place to raise a family. Be interesting to know their stories and why they chose to move or stay there.
What a lovely way to end this compilation, Glenn, with a tribute to your friend. Your regret speaks not only to our shared, imperfect humanity but also what I see you and John constantly doing- challenging the current racial and societal norms. I am truly grateful to you and John for your courage and honesty in addressing these issues.
May you both have a well deserved time off - please enjoy. The Kendi rant is also one of my favorites in addition to so many other insightful and powerful offerings you provide us as reflected in this present compilation.
Also, I'd like to take the opportunity to thank Nikita Petrov and all others for the work they do behind the scenes to support the Glenn Show. Big thanks, and best in the new year!
Thanks for this best of extravaganza! Coming in with a movie recommendation - just watched A Piece of the Action starring Bill Cosby and Sydney Poitier, from 1977 - it was a really fun movie on its own, but it was so interesting to see essentially the same social issues that are currently at the center of controversy (authenticity, the "bourgeois sellout", and the challenges of getting young people to work in their own enlightened self interest) played out before I was even born. It's the third in a series of three movies Poitier and Cosby did (with an amazing performance from Harry Belafonte as gangster "Geechee Dan" in the first one), and while they're all worth watching, A Piece of the Action had some staying power.
Thanks for a great year of intellectual stimulation, here's to a spectacular 2023!
I never miss a show. Thank you both for your leadership, courage, and heterodox approach to conversations on complex topics. I look forward to more in 2023 and wish you a happy, healthy and prosperous new year.

There is nothing that makes my day better than a Glenn Loury rant.
Just when I thought that they were not going to do provide us with one, they proved me wrong. I spoke too soon a few weeks ago.
The rant concerning Kendi will go down as an all time classic!!!
I am looking forward to another great year from these men. They are the best!!!

Glenn, your rant against Kendi was one of the all-time great on-camera moments. Posterity will marvel at its awesomeness. Happy 2023!
