It's interesting to see this title because I'm reading The Psychology of Totalitarianism by Mattias Desmet and so far he seems to believe that the Enlightenment with its emphasis on science and rationality helped push us inevitably towards totalitarianism.

I respectfully recommend the debators’ read Fausto-Sterling “Sexing the body” to elevate their unsophisticated and shocking recent debate on human gender nurture/nature constructions. Moreover, I recommend they seriously reflect on their very simplistic argument of a correspondence theory of truth, which its true alternative is not a postmodern consensus truth theory, but a more complex and historical language game a la wittgenstein.

Our system of law has been used numerous times to punish white people who harm black people. I should explain the rule of law. It requires notice of the burden to be placed on a party, the opportunity to be heard, and a moving party with a burden of proof. As we have refined it, we have added many procedural safeguards, which many including myself consider rights, such as the right to be free from unreasonable searches, and the right to an attorney. As to getting rid of the rule of law. When we privilege the subjective experience of a person over objective facts, we are harming the rule of law. The rule of law requires objectivity. I have found many times that when an ideologue is caught out, the ideology becomes a moving target. Woke privileges subjective experience over objectivity. Therefore, it is a danger to the rule of law.

It like pornography, you know it when you hear it.

And duh, there are different forms of it.

It’s forbidden in polite company and in the workplace, ie. you’ll often get fired if you do it at work.

Grow up. Do you really need me to define it for you? Do you live in a cave?

Why is the left obssessed with race? The explanation is identity voting. If you vote your identity, bad governance is irrelevant. It doesn't change your identity. So you keep voting your identity, even though the government gets worse and worse. If you're convinced your identity means you vote for leftist Democrats, you continue to vote for leftist Democrats, regardless of how bad they do in governing.

The reason Democrats call all Republicans racist is because it maintains identity voting in minority communities. Democrats wouldn't have a chance if people voted on the issues, like crime and school choice. So Democrats make sure that minorities think all Republicans are racist, so minorities won't even consider voting for them. This leads to silly comments like saying Larry Elder, a black conservative who ran for Governor of California, is the black face of white supremacy. It leads to Sen. Tim Scott (R, SC) and Lt. Gov. Elect Winsome Sears (R, VA) to be called house negros or tokens, even though their elections show Republicans vote on issues, not skin color.

Sen Tim Scott, a black Tea Party Republican, won election state wide twice in South Carolina, where the electorate is over 60% white. Republicans don't care about his skin color. However, Republicans have to be racist, or identity voting fails, and Democrats lose. So even though Sen. Tim Scott writes major legislation for Republicans, like crime bills and tax legislation, he's called a token and the press doesn't cover him. That's racist.

Democrats are using Critical Racist Theory to achieve Gov. George Wallace's (D, AL) goal of, "Segregation forever!" with their skin color segregated "safe spaces," dorms and graduations. Democrats judge people based on the color of their skin, not the content of their character. For Democrats, "colorblind" and "meritocracy" are code words for "white supremacy," not goals written into law by the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the 14th Amendment. When Democrats call Republicans racist, they're just projecting their own prejudices, not looking at the truth.

Conservatives are banning books on Martin Luther King Jr, Rosa Parks, Ruby Bridges, Hank Aaron, and Roberto Clemente, etc. Your claim of CRT is incorrect. My niece loves reading about her history. She is currently reading about a Black female cartoonist, Jackie Ormes. Conservatives are pulling books off school shelves because it deviates from Conservative Lost Cause beliefs. If books tell the truth, Conservatives will try to block those books. If anyone is focused on race, it is Conservatives targeting Black authors.

The books conservatives don't like are books that support Orwellian rewrites of history, like the 1619 project. For example, saying that slaves built America is factually false. Slaves were never more tha 20% of the American population. There weren't enough of them to build America on their own. Plenty of other folks worked hard to build America.

Another example is the basic fact that in 1619 there were no slavery laws in place in Virginia, or any other British Colony in North America. The slaves in 1619 were sold as servants indentured for 14 years.

The real racists belong to the party that fights charter schools in cities they control, so they can get political contributions from teachers' unions.  They prefer teachers' unions contributions to educated black children.  The real racists are the party who won't pick up the garbage in Baltimore's black neighborhoods.  The real racists are always talking about race, because they haven't given minorities any real reason to vote for Democrats.   The party that is constantly race baiting minorities to get votes are the real racists.

Nice try. The books that Conservatives are removing from shelves are books about Martin Luther King Jr, Rosa Parks, Ruby Bridges, Roberto Clemente, Hank Aaron, etc.Teachers and librarians are afraid to place books about Black history on the shelves. Your attempt at misdirection will not work.

You talk about garbage when two Republican Governors have poisoned Black citizens in their states.

There is a constant Conservative whine about the 1619 Project yet not a word about Lost Cause history texts still being in classrooms. When history is written to fit a truer version of events, Conservatives whine that their feelings are hurt and cry CRT.

Blacks are not focused on race. Blacks complain about racial issues because white Conservatives do things like attempting to suppress votes in majority Black areas. We know the hearts of Conservatives. We will not be silent as Conservatives attack us.

Conservatives love Trump, Tucker Carlson, Marjorie Taylor Greene. We are laughing at the convictions of 4 Proud Boys. Proud Boys are best buds with MTG.

Conservatives, we see you and know who you are.

Asking for voter ID ain't voter suppression. Having over 50% of voting machines in heavily Republican Maricopa County fail on election day, 2022 because they were "accidentally" set up wrong is voter suppression.

It's interesting that you don't seem to care about rotten inner city schools, as you blithely ignore them in your response. Further, the systemic racism in a most all big American cities was set up but the Democrats who have run then for decades. For example, the last Republican mayor of Chicago left office in 1931.

Racist, bigoted, misogynistic, and phobic speech is protected speech. In Brandenburg v. Ohio (1969) the Supreme Court held that speech advocating illegal conduct was protected speech. Speech is not protected when the speaker intends to incite violence, and the speech is designed to produce imminent lawless action, and is likely to do so.

You should study the history of revolutions. They rarely work out the way so many thought that would. You can see yourself as a social justice warrior, but if we get rid of the rule of law, evidence, and objective standards, we are left with might makes right. You might not be on teh winning side. See the battle between the Bolsheviks and the Mensheviks.

Lolwut? "Woke" has never been about getting "rid of the rule of law." Is that what they're telling you in the wingnut distortion bubble? Simple fact is there has never been "rule of law" because the whites who make, enforce and adjudicate the law are by all appearances utterly incapable of doing so fairly. What we have is a "rule of white supremacists." Several instances in the recent news of whites killing or attempting to kill Black people and walking free while a Black man who shot a white had a multiagency manhunt after him.

Black Conservatives give as good as they get. They said Black Democrats lived on a plantation. They cannot be surprised that we laugh as they have to fall in line to remain in the good graces of the GOP.

Google Alan Keyes and what he says about Black Democrats. Most Black voters feel zero sympathy for Black Republicans. Black Democrats have the example of Fannie Lou Hamer. Black Republicans who do not bend the knee are kicked out of the party.

In “Woke Racism” a comparison is made between Liberals and a species of grasshopper who drown themselves after being infected by a brain worm. Don’t believe for a minute that Black Democrats have not been personally attacked.

Black voters see no reason to connect with Charles Murray, Heather MacDonald, and Amy Wax. Why would we want to be in the same party as such creatures?

I believe that Loury and McWhorter admit that the majority of Black students disagree with many of their statements. A Coleman Hughes is an outlier.

One of the few advantages of being older than dirt is that I know history did not begin in the last five years. I watched racist President LBJ approach the self-anointed civil rights leaders and promise them both riches and a seat at the table if they would just tell their followers that the true measure of how much a political party is on their side is the amount of money devoted to social programs. And nobody paid attention to the Moynihan Report.

Racist LBJ got Civil Rights bills passed

Democrats lost white Southern voters

Few Southern Democrats voted for the bills

No Southern Republican voted for the Civil Rights bill

Current Republican legislators and judges peel away the Civil Rights Act

They also work to suppress Black votes
